Description
The A1 BrickBoard cladding system (previously known as Brickshield) is a brick slip system based on a unique fibre-reinforced, cement composite carrier board with channels pre-cut for the brick slips. The carrier board can be mechanically fixed to almost any substrate to create a durable, brick facade that is both cost-effective and simple to install.
By using A1 fire rated components throughout the system, the Brickboard brick slip system contains no combustible elements or materials that might contribute to either the ignition or propagation of fire, making it suitable for use on buildings above 18m high, subject to appropriate approvals.
When supplied as a system, the following items are included:
- A1 Brickboard (the carrier board for the brick slips)
- Fixings for board to substrate/carrier system
- Brick slip adhesive (Cementitious type)
- Brick slips
- Pointing mortar
There are a multitude of different ways to build up a brick slip system, and these might include adding insulation, battens or a mounting system to carry the board and of course a wide range of different brick slips. Items NOT included in this price are:
- Mounting system (i.e. battens or aluminium rails/mounting system)
- Insulation
- Special order brick slips
